Property Styling Brunswick:  In one of my favourite property styling projects from 2018, we assisted the Vendor to sell their Brunswick cottage on Staley St for $1.2m.  This represented a 67% increase in value since their purchase of the home in 2010.  (oh for a time machine!)

With a beautiful heritage frontage, the time invested by the owner in preparing the home for sale was well rewarded.  It was also an example of some of the day to day challenges we face when arriving to style a property for sale.

The Owner had professional window cleaners combined with professional high pressure washing of the facade and concrete at the entrance including the patio in progress when we arrived.  So our teams were dodging the water and ladders and tradies to get the styling done on time.

The master bedroom and second bedroom spaces were grand with fireplaces, high ceilings and traditional windows.  Original polished floorboards were also featured throughout.  However the renovation had some challenges with the smaller living space to the rear having an additional door that opened awkardly into the middle of the room.  Our furniture layout was planned with this in mind.

In this property styling project in Brunswick the Fireplaces were of course going to be the focal point of the Master Bedroom and main living spaces.  In this instance the before and after property styling photo shows the impact of proportion.  The owner’s original much loved artwork was too small comparative to the space and when a larger feature artwork was moved into position the space became more impactful.

Similarly in the master bedroom, the bed, which along with the fireplace would be the natural focal point of the room was tucked behind the door leaving a first impression of shelving or an otherwise blank wall.  In this instance re orientating the bedroom, moving the bed to the opposite wall changed the entire feel of the room.

The property styling selections in this property were from across our Global Luxe range.

This property was marketed by the team at Nelson Alexander in Brunswick.
