What is a house staging agreement?
Once you approve your staging quotation, you will be sent a link to the House Staging Agreement. This agreement covers important details such as payment timelines, insurance, liability for accidental damage, and access requirements like electricity availability and consent to use wall hooks. The completed agreement must be returned at least two business days before your scheduled staging date. Without it, your appointment may need to be delayed.
When will I receive my invoice?
Invoices are issued by email shortly after you confirm your quote. Payment options include EFT (bank transfer) and a secure credit card facility. Please note that American Express and Diners Club are not accepted. Your staging date will only be locked in once payment has been received, so we recommend completing payment at least two business days before staging.
What is "Stage Now and Pay Later"?
Stage Now & Pay Later is an interest-free payment plan that lets you arrange house staging or related services up to $15,000 without impacting your credit score. After you accept your quotation, you’ll receive an application link via our finance partner, Certegy. Once approved, you’ll be provided with a Verification Code and Lay-by Agreement, which must be signed and returned at least two business days before staging.
Can you help with moving or storage?
We don’t move or store personal items ourselves, but we can recommend reliable removalists and storage providers to help you prepare your property before staging.
What if my home isn’t ready to be staged?
If your house requires further preparation before staging can take place, please let us know at least two business days before your scheduled date. If notice is too short, a call-out fee may apply to cover staff and contractor costs. We will then reschedule your staging to the next available date.
What happens on staging day?
Prior to your appointment, we’ll confirm access arrangements and provide an estimated arrival time. To ensure safety and efficiency, the property should be clear and unoccupied. Once the staging is completed, our team will secure the home before leaving.
What happens if there is an issue?
If you notice any minor issues such as artwork shifting or accessories coming loose, please call 9108 5700 or email hello@propertystylingmelbourne.com.au so we can resolve it quickly.
When does unstaging occur?
Unstaging is the process of removing the hired furniture and accessories once your contract period finishes. A few days before the end date, we will be in touch to arrange access and schedule the removal.
What if my property doesn’t sell during the staging contract?
It’s extremely rare – fewer than 2% of staged homes fail to sell within the standard period or at auction. If your home is still on the market and the furniture is available, we may be able to extend the hire term. While extensions can’t always be guaranteed, we’ll keep you updated by SMS or email regarding availability.
The Finer Details
Prices listed are inclusive of GST. Fixed rates apply for homes within 30 to 60 minutes of our Moorabbin warehouse. Properties located more than one hour away may attract additional logistics fees. Homes with challenging access, such as multiple flights of stairs or balcony lifts, may also require additional charges. Extra furniture may be recommended for unusually large or uniquely shaped rooms (these details are confirmed during your site inspection). We select inclusions based on what we believe will present your property in the best possible way, while also considering stock availability at the time.
